Summerhill House

Summerhill House is a new single residence that explores the balance between tradition and modernity through a refined material palette and simple, confident geometry.

The client’s strong preference for brick informed the architectural language from the outset. The design celebrates the tactile, timeless quality of brickwork, paired with crisp aluminium window shrouds that offer a clean contrast. The result is a minimalist yet expressive façade that feels grounded and contemporary.

Navigating a covenant and Special Building Overlay, the design carefully integrates required character elements without compromising on clarity or innovation. It responds to its heritage context through material and proportion, while embracing a modern architectural identity suited to contemporary living.
